I went to France this summer and had the time of my life! These were taken in Paris on the Pont Neuf (new bridge) where it crosses the Île de la Cité. The Pont Neuf is the oldest bridge in Paris. There is a platform there called la Place du Pont Neuf with a statue of King Henri IV on horseback. The fence surrounding la Place du Pont Neuf is covered in love locks! I know there is a lot of controversy surrounding love locks. As romantic as they are, love locks are nothing but trouble for the city of Paris and cause a lot of damage to these historic bridges. Still, they were cool to photograph. After I took these photos, we took the stairs down from la Place du Pont Neuf to the dock for Vedettes du Pont Neuf. There, we boarded a boat called the Parisis and took a cruise of the Seine river. It was amazing!
