Sarah and I visited Emeishan City at the base of Mount Emei (aka Emeishan) in August. Mount Emei is one of the Four Sacred Mountains of Buddhism in China. We actually spent a few nights at Baoguo Temple (aka Baoguosi) and spent a day hiking up Mount Emei-–which was like climbing the world’s longest flight of stairs on a super hot day!

  1. I don’t remember those stairs being quite as long as the Great Wall’s stairs. That was longer. And hotter. At least the mountain had trees!
