Give me a notebook, a camera and a pocketful of film and I’m happy. Going Lomo is where I share my love for film photography, because a photograph not shared, only speaks silence.
‘Nifty Fifty’ is actually the name of the car club. Originally, their members all owned cars from the 1950’s, but the club has since expanded to include cars from other decades as well. I hadn’t made the connection to a ‘nifty fifty’ 50mm lens until you mentioned it. Good catch! These were actually all shot with a 35mm f/3.5 Super-Multi-Coated Takumar.
I like how these cars look in black and white. I think I would enjoy a classic European or Japanese car show. The ones in New Jersey seem to be just about American cars.
It’s not that different here in Canada. I see a lot of the same cars at every show I attend. I like your idea. I imagine it would be very interesting (and a lot of fun) to see the different cultural influences on car design.

Is it nifty fifty because that was the lens you used or because the cars are 1950’s ?!
