A hutong is a narrow street or lane between rows of traditional courtyard residences and is commonly found in Beijing. Sarah and I walked through an old hutong near the Bell Tower (pictured above) and these are some of the photos I took. I used Lomography Potsdam Kino 100 for these photos and I have to say that I am not very fond of this film. I find it has too much contrast for my taste.

I like the shades of grey in the photograph of the three-wheeled vehicle.
That does look good. Maybe I’m expecting too much from this film. I remember it was a bright sunny day with lots of contrast. There’s only so much an auto-exposure point & shoot camera can do in such light.
