I backed the Diana Instant Square on Kickstarter and while I love the look and feel of the camera, I was quite disappointed with it. It vignettes more than it should. I know that vignetting is to be expected with toy cameras, but when it ends up cropping the lower third of the frame, then it’s just too much. The first pack of Instax Square I shot produced no usable photos. You can see a bit of what I mean in the photo below. The vignetting isn’t centered. Who knows, perhaps I received a defective copy?

Wow, that’s a lot of vignetting. I’d be disappointed too.
It was heartbreaking. So now my Diana Instant Square lives in a box.
