Back in June, I bought an Olympus XA2 for a very good price. When it arrived, it looked to be in mint condition. I loaded a roll of film and started shooting. Soon after, I noticed that something was off. The shutter speed didn’t sound right to me. The more I shot, the more the shutter would lag. By the end of the roll, I could point the camera straight at the sun and the XA2’s shutter would stay open for 3 or 4 seconds. It was definitely broken. Naturally, I tried to repair it myself. I made it worse.
These photos are from the first roll I put through my second Olympus XA2, which my wife gave me for Christmas to replace the first one that didn’t work.
