A few years back, I photographed a Lancaster bomber running its engines. Afterwards, I wandered into the hangar and, to my delight, discovered a model making competition. Rows of tables covered in all sorts of model planes, tanks, cars, and spaceships were set up in the hangar. While the adjudicators were busy judging the models, I practiced shooting with my lens wide open to create a narrow depth of field. These were the results.
