Union Cemetery

One of my favourite places to shoot photos is in Union Cemetery. I love the rolling hills, trees and the view of the city. The cemetery is filled with history as well as many deteriorating headstones made from sandstone. Sandstone is very soft and does not withstand weathering over time.

I shot these with a Superheadz Blackbird, Fly. The Blackbird, Fly is a toy camera made in the style of a pseudo-TLR (twin lens reflex). It takes 35mm film (loaded vertically) and comes with two masks allowing you to shoot square or 35mm photos. But the part I love about the Blackbird, Fly is that you can remove the mask and shoot the full width of the film exposing the sprockets!
