Relics of the Vietnam War

These relics of the Vietnam War can be found at Independence Palace in Ho Chi Minh City. Tank 843 and Tank 390 crashed the palace gates on April 30, 1975 and shortly thereafter, South Vietnam surrendered. The captured helicopter on the roof is an example of the Bell UH-1 ‘Huey’ made famous by its use in the Vietnam War.
