Every summer, a number of cultural festivals take place in Calgary featuring food stalls and live entertainment. These photos of luchadores were taken at Mexifest, a celebration of Mexico’s cultural heritage.
I shot a roll of Yashica Ruby 60s 400 at Mexifest and I have to say, I’m almost always disappointed with films whose selling point is a particular color cast. Yashica Ruby 60s is supposed to have a warm “ruby” color cast to the photos, but any warmth in these photos was added by me. The unprocessed photos actually had a cool bluish tint to them. Perhaps they spooled Yashica Sapphire 70s 400 into the film cassette by mistake?
