Wandering Around Blenheim, NZ
Sarah and I wandered around Blenheim one Sunday afternoon. It was very quiet with almost no one around when I shot these photos.

Auckland
These photos of Auckland were taken in 2018 as Sarah and I walked through downtown and along the waterfront. The big green owl (Ruru Kakotea) is from The Big Hoot, a fundraiser for the Child Cancer Foundation. That year, many painted owls could be found all around Auckland.

The Bow River often freezes over during winter. While it is not unusual to see geese on the ice, I wasn’t expecting to find an overturned shopping cart that looked like it had been thrown from the bridge.

Royal Palace #2
Here are some more photos from the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. What I most remember about that day is that it was incredibly bright and I didn’t have a wide enough lens to capture everything I wanted in the frame.
Trio
On the west side of the new Calgary Public Library building are two of three kinetic sculptures that move back and forth like a drinking birds. This art installation is called Trio and was designed and built by artist Christian Moeller.
East Village
These photos are from a photowalk I took recently around the East Village. This part of downtown has undergone a lot of redevelopment over the last few years and I thought it was time to take a camera and go exploring.
Sliver
The name of this sculpture is Sliver. It was created by Virginia King and is a symbol of time. Sarah and I were walking in Newmarket (a suburb of Auckland) when we came upon the sculpture and I knew I had to photograph it.
Picton Harbour
These were shot in Picton harbour, on the north coast of New Zealand’s South Island, as Sarah and I waited to go on a cruise of Queen Charlotte Sound.
Wandering Around Auckland
These are from my second trip to New Zealand. Sarah and I spent a day wandering around Auckland’s waterfront. I remember we had some amazing ice cream at Island Gelato in the Ferry Building.
