I managed to get my hands on a roll of Shanghai GP3 100 B&W film and shot these in studio with Sarah. My Mamiya C220 is a fully manual TLR that doesn’t have a hotshoe. Instead it has a PC socket with a M-sync / X-sync switch. Using a cable, I can connect the Mamiya […]
These were shot in Auckland, New Zealand. Sarah and I were taking a walk when I saw this girl sneaking up on some pigeons. I nearly missed the photo of her scaring the pigeons to take flight. I’m glad I didn’t. I took these using FPP B&W 100 film which is really Orwo UN54.
These were shot one day while I was driving around West Vancouver. They are from two of my favourite places: the beach at Ambleside Park and Starboat Cove at Lighthouse Park.
These are from Honfleur, France. They were shot using Orwo NP7 400 from Labeauratoire. Unfortunately, this film needed more exposure. As you can see, it turned out rather dark and excessively grainy.
I shot these in Cambodia at Angkor Wat. The size of the temple ruins is staggering! It is simply breathtaking to see it all and I highly recommend visiting some of the lesser known temples as well (fewer tourists). I spent two days visiting six different sites. It was a dream come true.
P30 Alpha is a new B&W panchromatic film made by Ferrania, an Italian film manufacturer. It’s actually an old film that has been resurrected by the also resurrected Ferrania. I love the contrast of this film! I think it’s just gorgeous. I plan to shoot more of this film and hope to have similar results. […]
I shot these at Olympic Plaza in downtown Calgary. I spent an afternoon trying my hand at street photography with a manual camera, the Praktica MTL3. I was using a Russian lens, an f/2 85mm Jupiter-9.
I shot these in and around Pub Street in Siem Reap, Cambodia last year. I used Eastman Double-X 5222 B&W film that I purchased from the FPP. Double-X is actually a 35mm motion picture film made by Kodak and was used to make movies like Schindler’s List and the opening sequence in Casino Royale. I […]
