I love experimenting with new-to-me and expired film. These were shot using some old Agfa HDC 100 film that I recently acquired. I bought a variety of expired film on eBay and I’ve been steadily working through the lot with hit and miss results. It is always a good idea with expired film to give […]
These were shot on Canada Day at Eau Claire Market and Prince’s Island Park using Kodak Farbwelt 100 film. Kodak Farbwelt is made in Germany and has a slightly different colour palette from Kodak Gold. The reason for this is because Kodak tweaked the emulsion a bit so the film colours would be processed accurately […]
A couple years ago I participated in a Winter Fashion Shoot at Big Hill Springs Provincial Park. It was a bloody cold day with very few daylight hours for shooting. These few turned out alright. They were shot on CineStill 800T which is a motion picture film.
I spent an afternoon wandering around Carburn Park when I spotted these boys on the lake in a canoe. I shot these on cross-processed Rollei Crossbird 200.
I shot this self-portrait with my Diana F+. At the time, I didn’t realize that I had forgotten to remove the Instax insert lens and so that’s why this photo is the way it is. There’s more from this roll of film if you’re interested.
I shot these at Lake Louise one winter with my then new Diana F+. I had been shooting Instax Mini with the Diana F+ and forgot to remove the little insert lens that makes the Instant Back work before loading 120 film. You can see it in the photos. It’s the oddly shaped black frame […]
When I first took up photography, I visited Union Cemetery quite a bit and took many photos. These were shot using FPP Red Scale 50 film from the Film Photography Project. The FPP no longer sells this film, but they do offer a Svema Red Scale 25 which I have yet to shoot with.
I have a lot of photos taken at Heritage Park. I’ve gone there many times simply because there is a lot to photograph. These were shot on Kodak Ektachrome E100 GX. I absolutely love Ektachrome and hope that when Kodak starts selling it again soon that it will be every bit as good as the […]
These photos of the Peace Bridge here in Calgary were shot on a photo walk one day. I used a Chinese film called Lucky Charm 200 (it actually says Lucky Charm on the edge code).
I shot these at the Lilac Festival a couple years ago using Rollei Redbird 400 film. Even though the box speed is 400, I shot these at 100 ISO. This is the second roll of Redbird I’ve shot and the first one (shot at box speed) came out even darker than these photos. I hate […]
