In November 1994, I took a trip to Australia with my best friend Barry. We spent four weeks exploring the continent down under. These are from Byron Bay, the most easterly point in Australia.
I have a lot of photos taken at Heritage Park. I’ve gone there many times simply because there is a lot to photograph. These were shot on Kodak Ektachrome E100 GX. I absolutely love Ektachrome and hope that when Kodak starts selling it again soon that it will be every bit as good as the […]
These are from Honfleur, France. They were shot using Orwo NP7 400 from Labeauratoire. Unfortunately, this film needed more exposure. As you can see, it turned out rather dark and excessively grainy.
Expired film can be so unpredictable. Sometimes you can shoot with 10 year old film and the results are amazing and other times, not so much. As a general rule of thumb, you should shoot expired film one stop slower than box speed for every decade past the expiry date and you should also bracket […]

While Sarah and I were in Marlborough, we rented some bicycles and took a tour of the wineries in the region. Our first stop was at Hans Herzog where we sampled a few of their wines. We were lucky enough that they gave us free rein to roam around the beautiful garden and restaurant. These […]
These are from my trip to the Marlborough wine region in New Zealand. Sarah and I wandered around the Picton waterfront before taking a cruise of the Queen Charlotte Sounds. It was a beautiful day. I used Lomography Cine400 Tungsten film with an 85B filter since tungsten film isn’t meant for outdoors and set the […]
These photos of the Peace Bridge here in Calgary were shot on a photo walk one day. I used a Chinese film called Lucky Charm 200 (it actually says Lucky Charm on the edge code).
I shot these at the Lilac Festival a couple years ago using Rollei Redbird 400 film. Even though the box speed is 400, I shot these at 100 ISO. This is the second roll of Redbird I’ve shot and the first one (shot at box speed) came out even darker than these photos. I hate […]
