Sarah & I spent a day wandering Park Güell in Barcelona. Antoni Gaudí’s architecture is simply amazing. Sadly, I didn’t capture much on film as I was mostly shooting with my DSLR that day.
I recently picked up the Diana Baby 110 from Lomography. Since I already own and love the Diana F+ and the Diana Mini, I had high hopes for this camera. The Diana Baby 110 is a delightful little camera, but sadly the resulting photos were a disappointment. Most of the roll turned out as complete […]
I like shooting rare and expired film. I like it when I discover an old film that not only still produces good results, but also has a unique look or color palette. These are from a roll of Valca Grano Fino Positiva cinematic film that I purchased from Labeauratoire. Since Valca has a recommended ISO […]
My wife gave me a Lab-Box for Christmas this year and I’ve started developing my own film. These were developed using Rodinal (or Blazinal as it is branded here in Canada).
I shot these in Vancouver’s Il Giardino Italiano (the Italian Garden) at Hasting’s Park. It’s a beautiful garden to wander through with plenty of flowers and amazing fountains. The Opera Walk is especially beautiful.
Heritage Park is one of those places where there is lots to see and photograph. Over the years, I have managed to shoot many rolls of film there. I believe this is the first roll of Velvia 100 that I ever cross-processed and, once I saw the results, I instantly fell in love with the […]
These are from a canoe trip on Widgeon Creek that I took with my friend Barry. I’ve done this trip before and will probably do it again one day. It’s always fun.
I spent a cold winter’s day wandering through scrap metal and abandoned junk on a small farm north of Calgary. These are a few of the photos from that day.
I tried to capture the steep changes in elevation while climbing the Great Wall of China. It may have been a cloudy day, but the temperature was in excess of 40 °C. Climbing all those stairs was harder than it looks! Incidentally, can you spot the woman doing a handstand?
After nearly five years, I have finally posted my 1000th photo! I created this blog in July 2015 partly to share my photos, but mostly as a way to record my journey as a photographer for myself. It has been an immensely rewarding process and one I hope will continue for years to come. And […]
It’s sad to think about the destruction and loss of history caused by the Notre Dame fire. I was fortunate enough to have visited Notre Dame a few years back and snap some photos. I even got to go inside but I didn’t really see much. There were too many tourists and since it was […]
These photos come from a road trip down the Cowboy Trail with some fellow photographers. As we headed south on Highway 22, we stopped along the highway to shoot these photos of hats on fence posts.
